Get the forms and documents

Email all the forms asap to our claims department to ensure prompt efficient handling of your claim.

Report the event to the Police within 24 hours
You must report theft or burglary to the police within 24 hours. The police will give you a reference number (case number) which we will need to handle your claim.

You must send us ALL the information we ask for as soon as possible.

Home Emergency Assistance:
Call us for assistance with the following kinds of home emergencies – Plumbing failures, Electrical failures, Glass breakage, Locksmith requirements, Tree fellers and Security guards.

 

  • Immediately switch geyser off at the mains
  • Open hot water tap to empty the geyser in order to prevent further damage
  • Make sure you remember to close the tap afterwards
  • Immediately call the emergency number noted on your policy for assistance

  • Do not use your own supplier, but rather an approved Insurer supplier.

    • In the case of theft you must also report and obtain a case number from the police
    • Inform Risk Sure Insurance Brokers of the incident
    • Complete Property Loss claim form and forward to Risk Sure Insurance Brokers with a copy of the blacklisting report and replacement quotation

    • Complete Property Loss claim form and forward to Risk Sure Insurance Brokers with a copy of the quotation and damage report.

Below is a list of the typical information we need, but we may ask for more depending on the details of your claim.

  • Contact the Police immediately and report the burglary/theft
  • A description of the damage you are claiming for
  • Photographs taken from the scene (if any were taken)
  • Proof of forcible entry or exit to your home (where necessary)
  • Obtain a police case number (reference number)
  • If there are security issues call your insurer on their home assist number 24/7

  • Inform Risk Sure Insurance Brokers immediately so that an assessor may be appointed to assist with the evaluation of the claim
 
You must report an accident to the police within 24 hours. The police will give you a reference number (case number) which we will need to handle your claim.
  • Call Emergency assist number should your vehicle not be driveable, remember further damage caused as a result of driving after an accident is not covered
  • Do not admit or accept liability
  • Obtain name, I.D, telephone numbers, registration number, make of vehicle and address of the third party (other person involved). If the third party is insured, obtain details of insurer
  • If the vehicle is towed, obtain the contact details of where the vehicle was towed to Use your cell phone to take as many photos as possible
  • Try and get as many details as possible of independent witnesses

  • Inform Risk Sure Insurance Brokers of the incident immediately

You must report a theft or attempted or hijacking to the police within 24 hours. The police will give you a reference number (case number) which we will need to handle your claim.

  • If applicable, contact your satellite tracking subscriber and the Police immediately
  • Obtain a police case number (reference number)
  • Call our office during office hours 0861 00 7475 or alternatively call your insurer on their roadside assist number 24/7
  • Inform Risk Sure Insurance Brokers of the theft immediately
